When i first got into network marketing i was told by my upline that contacting people i knew was the only way to generate leads and start building my business.  Safe to say i found myself quitting that network marketing company and many others over the years simply because i could not convince my friends and family to join my opportunity. I mean to them i was just Sean. Not some successful marketing guy who made all this money and who they should trust. Even though i agreed with him on having to follow up with people in person via phone, i didn’t see why you couldn’t harvest people to call from the internet would you would then contact personally. That was more than 10 years ago. Now with the advent of social networks, people are making new relationships every online and it has become easier to meet someone online than it is to connect with a person in real life.
